Smartsheet is a powerful spreadsheet-shaped work management platform: grids, Gantt, forms, automations and dashboards for almost any process. AxioPlan is narrower on purpose. It does one job: estimate and staff a project and give you a delivery date you can defend.

In Smartsheet, a PERT estimate or a confidence date is a set of column formulas you design and maintain. In AxioPlan it's the core of the product: size and risk in, P50/P85/P95 dates out, for every project.
Smartsheet's resource planning lives in a separate Resource Management product. AxioPlan's allocation engine is part of the plan: it assigns tasks by role and availability and suggests hires when you need them.
Smartsheet charges per member, and editing needs a licence. AxioPlan Pro is a flat monthly price with unlimited team members, and clients view the plan through a read-only link.
